Help us create a world without ALS

My name is Royce Browning

I reside in Rocklin, California. In November of 2014 I was diagnosed with ALS. Prior to my diagnosis, I was physically in the best shape of my adult life. I began having symptoms that I had never felt (weakness in legs, cramps, severe muscle spasms and fatigue) and decided to get checked out. After being seen by a variety of doctors and specialists, many tests confirmed that I did in fact have ALS.

As you can imagine, I was in complete shock and extremely emotional. Honestly, I was not fully aware of what ALS really was or how awful this disease can be. With the support of family, close friends, and counseling, I have begun to accept this diagnosis, and in doing so have committed myself to pursue a mission of living life to the fullest.

I am also on a mission to put my time and energy into the Royce Browning ALS Foundation. Through this foundation I hope to make others aware of this terrible disease, fund the quest for its cure, and aid those already diagnosed in need of financial assistance and support. Over the past 16 years I have been a figure in the Northern California basketball community, and hope that the thousands of people I was able to develop relationships with will help fuel this cause and reach a wide group of people.

While my life has been turned upside down, I refuse to give up. I am going to do all I can to live this life I have and help others suffering from ALS. I appreciate your support in helping me in this pursuit and know that together we can make a difference.
